NVFlash For Dummies
NVFlash allows you to get back to stock rom and other things. NVFlash makes the gtab an unbrickable device. There is absolutely no possible way for you to brick the gtab with nvflash. These instructions are for dummies.
There are 3 general purposes to NVFlash
- You've soft-bricked your device.
- You need/want to send it back to Viewsonic and need to get back to stock.
- You need to flash a ROM from a different branch of development.
A lot of people are intimidated by nvflash. It's actually not that bad. If you follow my instructions down below, it will take you about 5 minutes the first time and 2 minutes the second time. It's that easy!
How do you know if you already have 1.1 or 1.2 branch?
Turn on your gtab.
- Go into menu.
- Go into Settings.
- Go into About Tablet.
- Go into Tapu UI Version.
- Firmware starts with 1.1 = you're on 1.1 branch. Firmware starts with 1.2 = you're on 1.2 branch.
