Partition and Fix Permissions
Part A - Partition (Will wipe out all your stuff on the internal sdcard)
Part B - Fix Permissions
There is an incompatibility between the stock partition and the software. When people first use the gtab, everything will run smoothly. And then one day BOOM everything force closes all the time. To prevent this from happening, you need to do both of the following procedures to prevent this mishap. Will take you about 1 minute to do these so you don't have to worry about future problems. Highly recommend you do this before you start putting those gay porn videos you've been downloading into the gtab. Partitioning will erase all personal data from the sdcard. All other partitions (rom, kernel, etc.) are safe.
For most people, this will only be done once in the lifetime of the gtab. This means that you do not need to this everytime you flash a new ROM. Just do parts A and B once and you're done.
Part A - Partition (Will wipe out all your stuff on the internal sdcard)
- Go into CWM (ClockWorkMod).
- Go into advanced.
- Choose Partition SD Card.
- Choose 2048M for first choice.
- Choose 0 for second choice.
- Do not click here.
- Will take a couple minutes. All your data will be lost. You should have backed them up, huh?
- Go into CWM (ClockWorkMod).
- Go into advanced.
- Choose Fix Permissions.
- When you reboot the system, make sure you reboot the right option. There are 2 reboot options in CWM: (a) reboot system and (b) reboot CWM. Whenever you're done flashing a ROM or fix permission, CWM will automatically highlight choice (b). You need to press the back button to go back out to main menu and choose reboot system.
